FINAL FEW WEEKS TILL FINISHED

Our Mayfair Renovation project is quickly coming to an end.  Although our early Spring weather has not been great it has generally cooperated and allowed us to to finish many of the exterior items. The front porch and rear open deck are done.  For the front porch we used cedar deck boards and railings.  The front porch roof will be finished with a metal, standing seam roof in a dark gray color.  

A dark gray roof shingle has been installed over the sloped roof areas of the old and new roofs.  A black soffit and gutter system will contrast with the gray siding and common brick of the original house.  

The interior spaces are quickly taking shape.  A combination of batt and spray foam insulation was used in the exterior walls and cavities.  The 320 sheets of drywall have been hung, taped and sanded.  A white base coat has been applied to all walls and ceilings.

The carpentry crew is installing the interior doors and trim this week.  Tile for the front entry, bathrooms and laundry room will be set by the end of the week. 

kitchen and family room

Exterior siding, landscaping, cabinets, flooring, painting and final trim out of the bathrooms will take place in the next few weeks.  We have received a pending contract on this house and are pushing to complete all of the items for our early May closing.
